Matt Ward

Matt Ward is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental planning and asset management. Currently, as a Service and Asset Planning Specialist at Auckland Council since July 2016, Matt reviews community services and assets to meet the evolving needs of Aucklanders. Prior roles include Manager Integration and Programming and Service and Asset Planning Team Leader, overseeing the development of management plans for Auckland's parks and local board areas. With previous experience as Parks and Open Space Specialist Team Leader at Auckland Council and Integration Coordinator at the Department of Conservation, Matt has contributed significantly to conservation management and community planning. Matt holds a Master of Arts in Geography from The University of Auckland.
