Rod Aitken

Rod Aitken has extensive work experience in the property and workplace sectors. Rod served as the Head of Corporate Property at Auckland Council since January 2017. Prior to that, they worked at ASB Bank Limited for nearly 9 years, where they held various roles including Head of Workplace and Project Director for the ASB North Wharf Head Office project. Before joining ASB Bank, Rod was the Managing Director of Ergodesign NZ Limited, where they specialized in property sector portfolio strategy and planning, future ways of working, workplace optimization, strategy and design, and project delivery.

Rod Aitken has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Auckland, which they obtained from 1996 to 1997. Rod also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Victoria University of Wellington, completed from 1982 to 1984. Furthermore, they pursued a Master Corporate Real Estate (MCR) from CoreNet Group, which spanned from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, they studied Ergonomics at Massey University starting in 2002, but no end year is provided.
