Andrew Baker

Andy Baker is the Auckland Councillor for the Franklin Ward.

Andy has extensive governance experience having been the Chair of Franklin Local Board of Auckland Council for the 2010 – 2016, 2019 – 2022 terms (and serving as Deputy Chair 2016 – 2019). He previously Chaired Regional Civil Defence and Rural Fire Committees, was a Chair of the Auckland District Licensing Committee and involved in numerous community and sporting organisations.

Prior to becoming an elected member at Auckland Council, Andy worked across various industries and roles including as a Police Officer, dairy farmer, restaurateur, company director, Council road safety co-ordinator and emergency management (civil defence / rural fire) manager.
