Dean Kimpton

Dean Kimpton serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Auckland Transport since April 2023 and is the Owner of Tuhura Consulting, a consultancy specializing in governance and strategic advice for the infrastructure and construction sectors, since June 2019. Kimpton has held various prominent positions, including Director at Blue Barn Consulting Ltd and Board Member at Parenting Place, as well as significant roles in Engineering New Zealand as Past President and Chairman of the Board for QuakeCore. Past experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at Auckland Council and Managing Director at AECOM. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), both in Civil Engineering from The University of Auckland.
