Gerard Rooijakkers

Gerard Rooijakkers is an experienced corporate information manager with a strong background in records and information management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Corporate Information Manager at Auckland Transport since July 2012, Gerard oversees governance related to both structured and unstructured data, implements automated records management processes, and manages the transfer of digital records to archives. Previously, Gerard held positions such as Information Management Team Leader, NZ Director at Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia, and Knowledge Centre Manager at Crown Research Institute Scion, showcasing expertise in knowledge management, archives, and disaster recovery. Gerard’s early career includes managing records and information at Auckland City Council and serving as Manager of Internal Affairs at Gemeente Laarbeek. Gerard holds degrees in civil law from Bestuursacademie Noord Brabant and a diploma from Constantine High School.
