Mike Lee is the Auckland Councillor for the Waitematā and Gulf Ward. He was previously a member of the Auckland Regional Council, first elected in 1992, and serving as Chair from 2004-2010.
In his time on the ARC, Mike was heavily involved in transport issues, advocating for the electrification of Auckland’s rail network and the construction of the City Rail Link.
Previously a ship’s officer and a keen conservationist, Mike holds a Msc in biological sciences from the University of Auckland.
