William Gonzalez has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. William started their career as a Business Analyst at Ernst & Young in 1997 and then moved to Cogit.com as a Strategy Manager in 1999. In 2003, they joined Goldman Sachs & Co. as a Vice President in the Merchant Banking Division and Healthcare Investment Banking. William worked there until 2009, with a focus on investments in growth-oriented companies in healthcare, consumer products, and business services industries. After leaving Goldman Sachs, William joined NMS Capital as a Principal and CFO, where they targeted lower middle-market companies in industries such as healthcare, business and consumer services, and food and consumer products. In 2010, they joined UBS as an Executive Director in Financial Sponsors, and in 2012, they moved to Sterling Partners as a member of the Healthcare Investment Team in Private Equity. Since 2015, William has been working as the Managing Director at Audax Private Equity, an alternative asset management firm with a focus on middle market companies, where they manage over $25 billion in assets across their Private Equity and Private Debt businesses.

William Gonzalez attended Gilman School from an unknown start year to 1992. William then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, completing their studies in 1997. After that, they pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Harvard Law School, completing their studies in 2004. Additionally, during the same period, William Gonzalez also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Harvard Business School.
