Derek Abbott

Derek Abbott currently serves as the Director of People and Organizational Development at Audigy since December 2025. Prior to this role, Derek worked at OrePac Building Products as both Continuous Improvement Manager and Training and Development Manager from August 2022 to December 2025. Between August 2017 and August 2022, Derek was an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Portland Community College. Derek also has extensive experience in secondary education, having taught Mathematics and Leadership at Lakeridge High School from August 2003 to August 2022. Earlier in Derek's career, positions included Actuary I at USAA from January 2000 to November 2002 and a Marketing and Statistics Intern at the National Basketball Association from August 2000 to June 2001. Derek holds a Master of Arts in Education from Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
