John Krivit

Committee Chair at Audio Engineering Society

John Krivit is the current Committee Chair at the Audio Engineering Society. Prior to this, they were the Director of Education at Professional Audio Design, Inc., from January 2018 to February 2020. Their focus was on assisting schools to develop music technology concentrations by offering strategic guidance on curriculums and instruction, accreditation and state licensure, faculty hiring and professional development, admissions and marketing, federal gainful employment law, growth strategies and plans for facilities and technology that align with institutional success.

Before their time at Professional Audio Design, Inc., John Krivit was at Hey Audio Student from September 1996 to October 2017 as an Associate Professor, where they taught and developed curriculum for music technology, music theory and music history classes. John also designed lab facilities and served on program advisory board.

John Krivit received their Bachelor of Arts in American Culture from the University of Michigan. John then went on to receive their M.Ed. in Education, Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University Sarasota. Finally, they received their bachelors from Walt Whitman High School.
