Luke Miner

Luke Miner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Luke is currently a Co-Founder at Audioshake since May 2020. Prior to this, they co-founded Tunebend in January 2018 and worked there until April 2020. Luke served as a Data Scientist at Plaid from January 2016 to December 2017. Luke was the VP of Data Science at Crowdpac from May 2015 to December 2015. Before that, Luke worked as a Senior Data Scientist at C9 Inc. from September 2013 to April 2015, where they developed an algorithm with 20% higher accuracy for a sales opportunity prediction product. Luke also held academic positions as a Post-Doc at Stanford University's Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law from October 2012 to August 2013, and as an Assistant Professor at the New Economic School from August 2012 to August 2013. Luke pursued a PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics from September 2005 to July 2012. Luke has a diverse skill set with experience in data science, entrepreneurship, and academia. Additionally, Luke has worked as an Author at The Little Bookroom from January 2002 to December 2003 and as an Editorial Assistant at The New York Review of Books from March 2000 to December 2002.

Luke Miner has an educational background in economics and philosophy. Luke obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from Stanford University, which they attended from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further education in Philosophy of Science and completed a Diplôme d'Études Approfondies (DEA) at Ecole des hautes Études en Sciences sociales from 2003 to 2004. Luke then shifted their focus to Economics, enrolling at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics from 2005 to 2007. Luke continued their studies at LSE and obtained a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Economics from 2007 to 2008. Lastly, Luke pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics at LSE, which they completed from 2008 to 2011.
