Audit Authority is functionally independent from all actors in the management and control system of EU funds (IPA, structural funds after the accession of Montenegro to the EU and other EU funds), whose task is verification of the effectiveness and stability of functioning of management and control systems from EU funds in Montenegro and compliance with the respective EU and national rules to ensure legality and regularity of the transactions and to protect interests of the Community and national interests.
