Shadab Ali is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in auditing. Currently serving as a Senior Auditor at Audit New Zealand since August 2022, Shadab previously held multiple roles at the Office of the Auditor-General in the Republic of Fiji from June 2015 to July 2022, including Acting Audit Manager, Senior Auditor, Auditor, and Assistant Auditor. Academically, Shadab holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Commerce with a focus on Professional Accounting from The University of the South Pacific, completed in September 2015, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Banking from Fiji National University, earned in December 2015.

As well as auditing financial matters, we evaluate publicly funded organisations in areas of sensitive expenditure, effectiveness and efficiency, waste, and a probity or financial prudence. Audit New Zealand is one of two business units serving the Controller and Auditor-General.
