John Cornett

John Cornett is an experienced audit professional currently serving as the Executive Director of Audit Services at Audit Scotland since January 2019. Prior roles include Audit Director and leader of the Local Government Audit Team at KPMG UK from November 2012 to December 2018, where John coordinated audit services for over 50 clients. Additionally, John was a Trustee and Audit Committee Chair at The Active Wellbeing Society from April 2018 to January 2023 and served as District Auditor at the Audit Commission from January 2001 to October 2012, specializing in NHS Foundation Trust audits.
