Nicholas Davies is an experienced audit professional with a focus on grants and subsidies in the public sector. Currently serving as an Audit Manager at Wales Audit Office since March 2005, Nicholas oversees the certification of over £3 billion in public sector grants annually and has authored several influential Value For Money studies. Nicholas has contributed to various publications in the field, including guides for grant funders and applicants, and played a key role in developing audit standards for the Global Institute of Internal Auditors and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. Additionally, Nicholas has served as a Foundation Governor at Christ the King RC Primary School, where responsibilities included finance and support for science and additional learning needs. Previous roles include grants specialist positions at the Audit Commission and South Gloucestershire Council, as well as foundational roles in non-profit governance.
