Richard H.

Richard H. has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Richard started their career as a Claims Consultant, managing life insurance claims for a financial services partner. Richard identified inefficiencies in the claims system and processes, leading to significant reductions in claims backlog.

Richard then worked as an Accountant, reporting directly to the divisional CFO. Richard focused on process improvement and problem-solving, successfully implementing automated accounting procedures.

Richard moved on to become an Account Manager, coordinating strategic initiatives and building relationships with underwriting agency and broker insurance partners. Their in-depth understanding of partner strategies enabled effective oversight of performance in various areas.

Richard transitioned to the role of Portfolio Performance Manager, where they managed and implemented strategic initiatives for Hollard Underwriting Agencies. Richard collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and coordinate key projects.

Richard then served as Head of Portfolio Insights, leading a team responsible for data-driven decision-making. Richard provided insights, analysis, and reporting on the impacts of business initiatives and managed stakeholder engagement across multiple functions.

Before their most recent role at AuditCover as the Head of Insurance Operations, Richard was the Head of Fintech Portfolio at The Hollard Insurance Company Australia. Richard managed key high-growth Fintech partnerships and facilitated distribution strategies with large energy, telco, and health insurance providers. Their responsibilities included driving strategic portfolio initiatives, pricing adjustments, data strategy, and regulatory changes.

In their current role as Chief Operating Officer at AuditCover, Richard oversees the company's operations and strategic initiatives.

Richard H. has a comprehensive education history. In 2009, they began their studies at Monash University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Science degree in 2011, majoring in Economics and Management. In 2013, they obtained the certification of Senior Associate Certified Insurance Professional from ANZIIF. In 2014, Richard enrolled in ANZIIF and completed the Diploma of General Insurance as well as the Diploma of Insurance Broking. Richard also completed the Reinsurance International Study Course (RISC) at ANZIIF in 2016. Furthermore, from 2017 to 2019, Richard attended AGSM @ UNSW Business School and earned a Certificate in Executive Management and Development.
