Alex Hacking has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alex started their career in 2005 as a Shop Assistant and Tourist Information Services representative at Sandy Balls Estate Ltd., where they worked until 2011.

In 2011, Alex took on the role of Team Leader at The Fundraising People for a year, before moving on to join UNICEF New Zealand. At UNICEF, they held two roles simultaneously - Fundraising and Team Leader. In the Fundraising role, they utilized their excellent communication and sales skills to stop people on the street and in shopping centers, build rapport, and sign them up for monthly donations to UNICEF. As a Team Leader, Alex motivated and coached their team.

In 2014, Alex joined Delta Hotels and Resorts® as a Guest Services Agent, responsible for ensuring a flawless guest experience at the front desk and front office. Their achievements during this role included holding the monthly upsell record, receiving positive comments on Trip Advisor and guest experience questionnaires, and being promoted to the sales team after six months. Alex was also part of the pre-opening and opening team for the property.

In 2015, Alex transitioned to Marriott Hotels where they held the role of Sales, Events, and Marketing Coordinator. Their responsibilities included lead generation, contract and proposal management, account prospecting, and handling various administrative tasks. Alex also represented absent or busy sales managers during client site visits and business closures, gaining experience in tour and entertainment markets.

Most recently, Alex joined Audley Travel in 2018, starting as a Senior New Zealand, Australia, Caribbean, and Mauritius Specialist, and later transitioning into the role of Regional Sales Manager. Further details about their current role are not available.
