Hayley Shannon

Hayley Shannon is an experienced professional in guest engagement and education with a strong background in environmental planning and policy. Currently serving as the Guest Engagement Manager at Audubon Nature Institute since January 2017, Hayley has previously held roles such as Guest Engagement Supervisor at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and Outreach Coordinator at Audubon Nature Institute. Prior experience includes positions as an Onsite Educator at North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Community Programs Lead at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Hayley's expertise encompasses animal handling, program facilitation, curriculum development, and volunteer coordination. Hayley holds a Master’s degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Junior High/Middle School Special Education Programs from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Policy from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
