Nessi Benishti is an experienced entrepreneur and researcher with a focus on medical technology. In 2011, they started working at Volume Elements as a Senior Algorithm Researcher, leading the project on 3D Reconstruction of Coronary Arteries. They stayed with the company until 2014 when a spin-off startup, Cathworks Ltd, was formed. In 2014, Benishti founded Augmedics, a company developing an augmented reality system called xvision for surgeons. They are currently the founder and CEO of Agrio, a position they have held since 2017.
Nessi Benishti completed a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they pursued another Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Physics, from the same university between 2005 and 2007. Subsequently, Nessi attended the University of Cambridge from 2007 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics. Lastly, they enrolled at the University of Oxford, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from 2008 to 2011.
