Alexandra Therond is the Chief Clinical Officer and Co-Founder of AugMend, a data-driven virtual reality therapy platform established in January 2022, which utilizes machine learning to enhance accessibility to mental healthcare. With a robust background in research and clinical consultation, Alexandra has held positions at various prestigious organizations, including serving as a Teaching Assistant at Carleton University and a Clinical Consultant at Anxiety Canada. Alexandra's significant contributions to the field have garnered multiple accolades, including being a finalist in the American Academy of Pain Medicine Innovation Challenge and the MIT 100K. Currently pursuing a Psy.D & Ph.D in clinical and experimental psychology at UQAM, Alexandra also holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia University.
