Michael van der Linde

Michael van der Linde's work experience includes positions at various companies.

In 2009, they co-founded OKGO Wines, where they sourced bulk wines for private functions and event management companies and provided strategic marketing services in the youth wine market in South Africa.

In the same year, they also served as the Student President for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) until 2011.

From 2011 to 2012, Michael co-founded Nucleus Stellenbosch.

In 2012, they worked as a Product/Business Development Manager at Geo-Risk Information Platform, where they specialized in developing small Earth observation satellites and processing satellite imagery for the short-term insurance industry.

From 2013 to 2017, they held the roles of a Product Analyst and later a Product Owner at LifeQ, Inc.

In 2018, they joined MiX Telematics as a Product Owner, where they delivered solutions for efficiency, safety, compliance, and security to enterprise fleets, small fleets, and consumers.

Most recently, they co-founded Augmental Technologies in 2021 and currently serves as the Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer. Their mission is to address the pediatric mental health crisis by empowering parents with coping and parenting skills.

Michael van der Linde completed their high school education at Paul Roos Gymnasium from 2003 to 2007, earning a Matric degree. Following this, they attended Stellenbosch University from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bcomm General degree. During their time there, their field of study included market research, sociology, strategy, and entrepreneurship.

In addition to their formal education, Michael van der Linde has also obtained certifications. In November 2019, they completed a certification in "The Agile Business Analyst" from Think Agile. In August 2018, they obtained a certification as a "Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)" from the Scrum Alliance.
