James Mathias

James Mathias is an accomplished Principal Designer currently leading design efforts at Augmentir since February 2024. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Staff Designer at Mozilla, where James contributed to the development of the Firefox Design System, Acorn, focusing on documentation, curation, advocacy, and education. James has also held leadership roles in multiple design systems, such as the Beaker Design System at Elixir and the Nitro Design System at AutoZone, where responsibilities encompassed vision definition, strategy development, and Figma library management. Additionally, James has mentored aspiring UX/UI designers at Thinkful and has a rich background in design and development at notable companies such as Amazon, Paramore|Redd Online Marketing, and Sweepery, Inc. A graduate of Sonoma Valley High School, James possesses a strong foundation in design across various digital platforms.
