Steve Burwash

Steve Burwash has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Steve most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer & VP of Operations at AUGMENTT since November 2020. Prior to this, Steve worked at HEXO Corp from October 2019 to October 2020, where they were the Chief Financial Officer. During their tenure, they were responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including reporting, investor relations, and capital markets. Steve also led the reorganization and rationalization of operations to drive towards positive financial results.

From 2015 to 2018, Steve worked at Mitel, where they held the role of Group Director FP&A and later became the Manager of Finance Integration. In these positions, they oversaw financial planning, analysis, and integration efforts for the company's cloud division.

Before Mitel, Steve held various roles at Treasure Chest Social Classifieds™ as the Interim CFO and Investor from September 2013 to December 2015, and at Stevenson & White as a Partner and Recruiter from February 2014 to October 2015.

Steve also has experience working at Curtiss Wright Controls, where they served as VP of Operations and Shared Services from 2009 to 2013. In this role, they had global responsibilities for quality, manufacturing, and supply chain consolidation.

Additionally, Steve has prior experience in project management at DEW Engineering and Development ULC, as a CFO at Quarterstone Communications, as a Manager Reporting at NavCanada, and as a Manager of Results at Intermap.

Steve Burwash's education history begins in 1990, where they attended the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) until 1996. Steve obtained a degree in CPA CGA, specializing in Business Accounting.

Later, in 2005, they enrolled in the University of Ottawa and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) between 2005 and 2007, focusing on Business.

Additionally, Steve Burwash received several certifications throughout their career. In June 1996, they obtained the Certified General Accountant (CGA) certification from the CGA Association of Ontario and Canada. In July 2018, they completed the "Cert Prep: Project Management Professional (PMP)®" certification from LinkedIn.
