David Demers

David Demers has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. David is currently the Managing Director at Crocus Advisors Ltd. In 2018, they held positions as a Director at both Creation Capital Corp. and Augurex Life Sciences Corp. In 2017, they served as a Member of the Advisory Board at G4 Insights and as a Member of the Board of Directors at TIMIA Capital Corporation. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Directors at Primero Mining Corp. Starting in 1996, they held the roles of CEO and Director at Westport until 2016. David was also a Member of the Board of Directors at Clean Energy Fuels from 1999 to 2008. Additionally, they were the Chair of the Board of Directors at Brightside Technologies Inc. from 2005 to 2007. Their early career includes a role as a Marketing Operations Manager at IBM Canada from 1979 to 1991.

David Demers attended the University of Saskatchewan from 1972 to 1976, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics. David further pursued their education at the same university from 1975 to 1978, earning a J.D. degree.
