Chris Toomey

Chris Toomey is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and engineering management. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at August Health since August 2023, Chris previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Sagewell Financial from July 2021 to August 2023. Prior to that, Chris worked as an independent Web Development Consultant and spent over seven years at thoughtbot, where roles included Development Director and Product & Content Lead for the Upcase Learning Platform. Earlier experience includes positions as a Custom Engineer at Instron, Technical Sales Support at PTC, and Custom Software Developer at Reiser. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, earned from 2004 to 2009.
