Leon Shivamber

Leon Shivamber is an Advisory Partner at August Leadership with a record of building great teams and leading transformation across five continents.

Leon has held leadership roles at McKinsey twice during his career. Most recently he was Senior Advisor to the fast-growing Recovery and Transformation Services practice. He started his career 30 years ago as one of the leaders of the Operations practice.

As CEO of Atlas Group, Leon was responsible for the turnaround of the underperforming 33+ year business, leading to profitability in 7 of 8 businesses in the first year. During his second year, the business delivered record orders, revenues and profits.

Leon was an officer of Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading global communications technology provider, where he led the transformation of the Supply Chain and Operations to a world class performer. He led a team to turn around Harris Microwave Division (the largest independent Telecom communications equipment supplier) with operating performance leading to profitability within 2 quarters (after 13 quarters of losses) and delivering target 10% ROS in 2 years.

Before Harris, Leon founded Vertisync, a New York-based strategy and operational advisory and turn-around company, where he led a restructuring of a technology company. Earlier in his career as an Officer of Arrow Electronics (NYSE:ARW), Leon was responsible for the integration of over a dozen acquisitions, managed teams on five continents and designed global integrated supply chain solutions for top customers and suppliers (e.g. Cisco, Nokia, Altera, Motorola and Philips).

Leon holds two Summa Cum Laude degrees; a BBA from Baruch College of CUNY and an MBA from Indiana University.
