Russell Keen

Russell Keen is the EVP, Administration & Chief of Staff to the President at Augusta University. Russell has held this position since September of 2006. Prior to that, they were the Vice President for External Affairs and the Vice President of Government Relations & Community Engagement at Georgia Southern University from September of 2006 to July of 2015. Russell also worked as the Atlanta Regional Development Director and the Director of Annual Giving at Georgia Southern University from January of 2001 to June of 2004.

During their time at Augusta University, Russell has been responsible for developing and managing relationships with various donors, maximizing available resources to achieve our fundraising goals in collaboration with the development staff and dean. Russell has also cultivated donors for various departments, recruited three new board members, and maintained at least 15 development visits per month.

Some of Russell's selected achievements include raising $1.4M for graduate assistanceships and developing major gift prospects for social sciences as well as securing the Psychology Department’s first Chair and Distinguished Graduate Fellowship.

Russell Keen received their Doctor of Education from The University of Georgia in Higher Education Management. Russell also holds a Master's Degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University, and a BBA in Finance from Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University. Russell is also a Certified Protocol Officer from The Protocol School of Washington.

Russell Keen reports to Keel A. Brooks, President, Augusta University. They are on a team with Mark Lane - VP, Communications & Marketing, Clay Sprouse - VP, Audit, Compliance, Ethics & Risk Management, and Garrett Green - Interim Chief Diversity Officer.
