John Steinberger

John Steinberger has a long and varied work experience. John began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia in 2008. John then moved to Tsinghua University in 2009, where they served as an Assistant Professor. In 2013, they became an Advisor and Investor for Traintracks.io, a startup that developed an advanced engine for real-time big data analysis. In 2014, they began work as an Author and Engineer. In 2019, they joined Auki Labs as the Proof of Location Lead, where they were responsible for leading the team working on the probabilistic consensus algorithms that allow for more precise 3D positioning.

John Steinberger obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Brown University in 2000. John then went on to earn their Master of Science in Combinatorics and Optimization from the University of Waterloo in 2003. Finally, in 2007 they received their Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis.
