Micah Pearlman is a co-founder and chief operating officer of Aulos. He has been a senior business and finance executive driving growth and value for over a decade. Since 2018, Micah has served as chief operating officer at Biolojic Design, overseeing business development, strategy, and finance. During this period, Micah has spearheaded business development and financing activities that ultimately led to deals with top pharma, biotech and VCs generating tens of millions of dollars in near-term cash and long-term potential upside of over $1 billion. Prior to joining Biolojic, Micah was director of strategy and transformation at Teva Pharmaceuticals. In this capacity Micah worked closely with Teva’s chief scientific officer and R&D leadership on strategy, business development, and transformational initiatives and had a key role in forming Teva’s overall specialty medicine strategy, prioritizing Teva’s pipeline and shaping Teva’s more than $1 billion R&D budget. Micah started his career as an economist in the ministry of finance in Israel, where he served as head of the higher education and innovative industry sectors, managing budgets of over $2.5 billion and leading policies aimed at fostering and growing innovation in Israel. In this capacity, he co-founded the Israel Innovation Authority, led tax incentive legislation for angel investors, and led negotiations in dozens of contracts and agreements with public and private entities. Micah regularly represented the minister of finance in Israel’s parliamentary and government meetings and served on investment committees and boards of several bi-national funds.
Micah holds a B.A. with honors in economics, philosophy and political science and an M.A. in public policy, both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
