Barbara Ferry has 16 years of work experience in the field of clinical research and operations. Barbara's previous experience includes working as the Director of Research at Advocate Health Care's Russell Institute for Research & Innovation. In this role, they guided the development of innovative research initiatives, including patient-centered outcomes research, clinical trials research, and translational science research.
Barbara's earliest work experience was at Northwestern University, where they held multiple positions of increasing responsibility and scope. Barbara began as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Rheumatology department and eventually became a Clinical Research Programs Manager, overseeing regulatory and recruitment. In addition, they served as a Clinical Research Navigator, Special Projects Manager, and University Administrator. Barbara's responsibilities at Northwestern University also involved being an Investigator Advocate and an Education and Training Program Educator for Clinical Research Coordinator Training. Throughout their time at Northwestern University, they successfully led cross-functional teams through audits, documentation, correction, and response processes, as well as handling various administrative tasks such as PI transfers, grant transfers, legal proceedings, and FDA audits.
Barbara Ferry pursued their education at Northwestern University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. In August 2022, they also received a certification in Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher from the CITI Program.
