Heather Leskinen

Heather Leskinen, PhD, currently serves as a Medical Science Liaison at Aura Biosciences, focusing on building collaborations within the ocular oncology community and supporting clinical development initiatives. Previously, Heather was an Associate Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology and Neuroscience was earned through research on neuronal differentiation and optic nerve regeneration. In addition to research, Heather contributed as a Teaching Assistant, educating over 500 students and fostering scientific exchange through tailored presentations. Earlier roles include Associate Chemist at SC Johnson, where the development of an international analytical method took place, and Analytical Chemist at Coating Place Inc., where strategic client relationships were built and maintained. Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
