J. Jill Hopkins

J. Jill Hopkins currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer and President of Research & Development at Aura Biosciences since October 2023. Prior to this role, J. Jill Hopkins was the CEO of Gyroscope Therapeutics from April 2022 to October 2023 and held the position of SVP and Global Head of the Ophthalmology Development Unit at Novartis from March 2021 to October 2023. J. Jill Hopkins also served as the Global Head of Ophthalmology Personalized Health Care at Genentech between September 2018 and March 2021, and as Vice President of Ophthalmology at UNITY Biotechnology from June 2017 to September 2018. J. Jill Hopkins obtained a Retinal Fellowship in Medical Retina at University College London and Moorfields Eye Hospital from January 1995 to January 1996 and completed an Ophthalmology degree at the University of Toronto from January 1990 to January 1994.
