Bert Rijk

CEO and Co-Founder at Aurea Imaging

Bert Rijk has a diverse work experience in the agriculture industry. Bert co-founded and served as the CEO of Aurea Imaging, a company focused on drone services for precision agriculture. Bert also co-founded Dronewerkers, a collaboration of local drone operators in agriculture. Additionally, they co-founded and served as CEO of CropZoomer.farm. Bert has worked as a remote sensing specialist at eLEAF and as a research intern at Precision Agronomics Australia. Bert has also interned at Dacom bv and WaterWatch NL, where they gained experience in satellite-based monitoring tools and data analysis. Furthermore, Bert founded Senvi Consulting, a company focused on sustainable agribusiness and precision agriculture.

Bert Rijk pursued their education at Wageningen University & Research. Bert obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in International Land and Water Management in the years 2007 to 2011. Following this, they went on to complete a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geo Information and Remote Sensing from the same university, studying from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, Bert Rijk obtained a certification as an RPAS operator from the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) in 2015.
