Rachel Rae

Rachel Rae is an experienced environmental professional with a strong background in environmental management and planning. Currently serving as the Mackay Office Leader and Associate in Environment & Planning at Aurecon since April 2019, Rachel has held progressive roles including Manager and Lead Consultant in Environmental Sciences. Prior experience includes working as an Environment & Community Advisor at Glencore Coal, where responsibilities encompassed driving environmental performance and managing compliance inspections. Rachel's career also includes roles as an Environmental Scientist at Aurecon, an Environmental Officer during a secondment with the Department of Transport and Main Roads, participation in the Young Professionals Exchange Program in Japan with Consult Australia, and vacation work with BHP Billiton. Rachel holds a Graduate Certificate in Bushfire Protection from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor of Environmental Management from The University of Queensland.
