James Knowles

James Knowles is an Associate Scientist Engineer at Aurizn since July 2023, previously serving as an Associate Research Engineer and Graduate Research Engineer at elmTEK from March 2020 to July 2023. Knowles has a background in community service, having worked as a Pool Lifeguard for the City of Unley from February 2015 to May 2020, and as a volunteer with Lattitude Global Volunteering from May 2015 to November 2018. As Treasurer of The Optical Society (OSA) student chapter in Adelaide from July 2018 to February 2020, Knowles facilitated connections among students interested in optics. Academic achievements include a Master of Philosophy in Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Physics, both obtained from the University of Adelaide. Additional experience includes serving as a PASS Leader and Peer Mentor at the University of Adelaide and working as a Camp Counselor at Camp Jubilee in 2014.
