Govindappa Srinivasan

Mr. Govindappa Srinivasan has been a part of the Aravind Eye Care System since its inception. He is one of the founding members of Aurolab and played a key role in identifying the technology partners and significant role in transfer in technology. Now he is guiding Aurolab and Aravind Eye Care System with his experience and expertise in administration and financial aspects. With his intense knowledge in civil work he has rendered greater support in developing the infrastructure of the entire Aravind Eye care system. He was the secretary of GOVEL trust which runs Aravind Eye Hospitals. He served as the Secretary of Aurolab Trust from 1992. In 2006 he became the President of Aurolab Trust and now he is the President of GOVEL trust.

Mr. Govindappa Srinivasan began his career as a junior engineer in PWD, Madurai. He worked as the structural design engineer in USA and has been a partner in Asia Engineering Company. He was working as a Director in GOVEL Plastics, Madras and past President of Builder's Association of India, Madurai Centre.

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering. He did his MS (Structure) at KANSAS State University, Manhattan, USA.
