Dr. R. Kim, is known for his renowned works in the Retinal field of ophthalmology. His interest in technology and passion for ophthalmology contributed for the development of Telemedicine at Aravind Eye Care System. He is the Programme Director of Aravind telemedicine network. He was an Executive Committee Member of the Vitreo-Retinal Society of India from 1999 to 2001.
