Dewayne Harris

DeWayne Harris has extensive experience in mental health counseling, currently serving as a Mental Health Counselor and Intake Coordinator at Lakeshore Hospital since September 2009, where services are provided to children, adolescents, and adults, including short-term residential care and specialized treatment for those with autism and developmental delays. DeWayne is involved in quality improvement projects and collaborates on cases involving individuals with suicidal or homicidal ideation, assisting a diverse clientele. Additionally, DeWayne held the role of Intake Counselor at Chicago Lakeshore Hospital, contributing similarly to mental health services. Prior experience includes a position as Case Manager Coordinator at Aetna from June 2015 to April 2016. DeWayne holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from National Louis University and another Master’s degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Spertus Institute, along with a Bachelor's degree in History from Chicago State University.
