Valentina Carapella

Valentina Carapella is an experienced professional in the energy and data science sectors, currently serving as an Energy Modeller at Aurora Energy Research since September 2024. Prior to this role, Valentina worked at Perspectum Ltd from September 2019 to September 2024, holding various positions including Product Lead, Software Engineer, and Data Scientist. Valentina's earlier career includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at King's College London and a Postdoctoral Fellow position at Simula Research Laboratory. Additional experience includes work as an Image Analyst and Data Manager at the University of Oxford and a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Oxford e-Research Centre. Valentina holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the University of Oxford and advanced degrees in Bioinformatics and Computational and Applied Mathematics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, alongside ongoing studies in Clinical Trials at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
