Michael Birch

Michael Birch is a Senior Software Engineer currently working at Aurora Labs since July 2021. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Near Inc from May 2020 to July 2021, and as a Lead Software Developer at CasperLabs from November 2018 to May 2020. Before their work in the blockchain industry, Michael was an Independent Software Developer at RChain Cooperative from November 2017 to November 2018, where Michael focused on blockchain speed and scalability challenges. Michael has a strong educational background with a Master of Science in Physics and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics from McMaster University.
