Antonio Vigil has a diverse work experience in the education field. Antonio started their career at KIPP Colorado Schools as a 5th-grade Mathematics and 6th-grade ELA teacher. Antonio then joined Ricardo Flores Magon Academy as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Later, they worked at STRIVE Preparatory Schools, where they held various roles including High School Designer, Founding High School Director (Principal), and Director of Recruitment. Antonio also served as the Chief Academic Officer at El Paso Leadership Academy. Currently, Antonio is working at Aurora Public Schools as the Director of Innovative Classroom Technology.
Antonio Vigil has a diverse education history. Antonio obtained a Principal Licensure degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Denver in 2022. In 2017, they completed a certificate program in School Turnaround Leaders at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In 2014, they attended the Relay Graduate School of Education for the Summer Instructional Leadership Institute. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing and Ethnic and Third World Literature from Colorado State University from 1992 to 1995. Antonio also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnic, Third World, and Latin American Literatures from Saint John's University, which they completed in 1989. Antonio completed their high school at Regis Jesuit High School in 1985.
