Matt Sontag

Matt Sontag is the current Director of Operations at Aurora Technologies. Matt has over fifteen years of experience in operations and sales management. Prior to joining Aurora Technologies, Matt was the Director of Sales and Marketing at Matthews Manufacturing where they were responsible for sales strategy formulation, qualified lead generation, quoting and estimating, and brand image formulation. Matt also developed contract manufacturing solutions for their clients. Before Matthews Manufacturing, Matt was the Operations Manager at John Ramming Machine Company for five years. In this role, they held weekly meetings to present top-level management with cash-flow analysis, budget reports, capacity analysis, and capital expenditure requirements. Matt also developed quotes and interfaced with customers regarding technical specifications of manufactured products to evaluate and determine ROI. Additionally, Matt managed 25 employees across 6 departments (Purchasing, HR, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sales). Matt formulated multiple project strategies simultaneously and then implemented plan assigned personnel, procured materials and resource requirements. Matt also negotiated with commercial, real estate and employee benefits insurance carriers resulting in 50% decrease in commercial liability insurance costs. Furthermore, they performed customer relationship management activities, ranging from Fortune 500 scale companies to Dow 30 component scaled companies; improved company image reflected by International Standard Organizations customer satisfaction survey analysis. Lastly, they prospected and developed new clients based upon an industry diversity strategy decreasing industry exposure from 90% of total sales to 25% of total sales.

Matt Sontag's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Missouri State University.
