Jim Stegen

Jim Stegen is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in automotive safety and electronics, currently serving as a Senior Staff Safety Engineer at Aurora since April 2021. Prior to this role, Jim held positions at Analog Devices as an Automotive System Architect and Functional Safety Specialist, where responsibilities included managing the functional safety lifecycle and implementing ISO26262 standards in product developments. Jim's experience also encompasses a role as Sr. Staff Engineer at Continental Automotive Systems, focusing on battery management system electronics, and Principal Staff Engineer at Motorola, where development of NiMH battery management electronics was a key responsibility. Jim holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from DePaul University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.
