Matt Stout

Matt Stout is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering, technical program management, and feature development within the automotive industry. Currently serving as a Staff Systems Engineer - Hardware at Aurora since May 2024, Stout previously held various roles at Rivian, including Senior Staff Technical Program Management, where responsibilities encompassed developing vehicle attributes for the next generation of vehicles, leading team strategy for systems engineering processes, and managing a team focused on customer behavior from concept to validation. Prior experience at General Motors included leading systems engineering initiatives, developing vehicle charging features with multiple patents, and providing expertise in vehicle safety and robustness. Stout's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan and a certification in Architecture and Systems Engineering from MIT, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
