Micol Marchetti-Bowick is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and autonomy systems. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at Aurora since April 2024, Micol previously held the position of CTO at velo.ai from February 2023 to February 2024. During a prior tenure at Aurora from January 2021 to February 2023, Micol led a 12-15 person Strategy Planning team focused on developing core ML models for Motion Planner, essential for autonomous vehicle decision-making. Micol also contributed as Autonomy Engineer & Tech Lead Manager at Uber ATG from May 2016 to January 2021, developing models for long-term prediction of actor behaviors. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as an MS and a BS in Computer Science from Stanford University.
