Poornima Kaniarasu

Poornima Kaniarasu is a Senior Staff Tech Lead Manager at Aurora, leading the Perception Scenarios and Metrics team since December 2019. Previously, Poornima held roles at Uber as a Senior Autonomy Engineer, focusing on intent and occupancy prediction, and at The MathWorks, where contributions included the design of the gazebo interface. Early career experiences include team leadership at TechBridgeWorld, research assistance at Carnegie Mellon University, and programming positions at athenahealth and Hewlett-Packard Laboratories. Poornima holds a Master’s degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
