Sydnee Journel

Sydnee Journel is an experienced government relations professional with a strong background in public policy, particularly in the fields of autonomous vehicles and community engagement. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Government Relations at Aurora since February 2021, Sydnee focuses on enhancing the company's public policy impact in the Bay Area, Bozeman, MT, and on the West Coast. Prior to this role, Sydnee worked at Waymo as City Policy and Government Affairs Manager, engaging with local governments across California. Additionally, experience includes a legislative internship at the U.S. Senate and various roles in community relations and strategic coalitions at Stanford University and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Sydnee holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and two degrees in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
