Bill Kernick

Bill Kernick is an accomplished leader in technology and innovation with extensive experience driving research and development initiatives across multiple industries, including personal care, medical, and performance coatings. Currently serving as the CTO and VP of Innovation at Aurorium since April 2018, Bill has spearheaded customer-centric projects that transform user needs into viable growth products. Prior roles include Principal at MD5 - The National Security Technology Accelerator, where Bill led collaboration initiatives to enhance national security outcomes, and Executive Director at the Electric City Innovation Center, co-founding an innovation ecosystem partner space in upstate New York. Bill's tenure at GE spanned nearly two decades, during which Bill held key positions such as CTO of GE Ventures, where Bill incubated technologies for commercialization, and led a successful new technology licensing business. Bill holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
