Steve Peterson

Steve Peterson is an accomplished professional in sports and events management with extensive experience spanning various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Events for AusCycling, Steve has also held leadership roles as Managing Director of Sport Projects and Non-Executive Director at WAYSS. With a rich background including positions such as Major Events Advisor for AusCycling, Road Race Advisor for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships, and Head of Sport for Wollongong 2022 Ltd, Steve has demonstrated expertise in event management, project development, and stakeholder relations. Additionally, Steve has contributed significantly to the Olympic cycling events through roles with the Union Cycliste Internationale and Cycling Australia. Steve holds a Diploma of Governance from the Institute of Community Directors Australia and a BA in Sports Administration from Victoria University.
