Vahistad Patel

Vahistad Patel has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, Patel holds the role of Head of Commercial Finance and Financial Control at Ausgrid, a position they have held since October 2023. Before that, Patel worked as the FP&A and Corporate Commercial Finance Manager at Ausgrid from July 2021 to October 2023, and as a Commercial Finance Manager at Ausgrid from November 2017 to July 2021.

Prior to Ausgrid, Patel worked at EY as a Senior Manager for a brief period in October 2017 and as a Manager from June 2015 to September 2017. Before EY, Patel served as the Financial Controller at Swift Digital from March 2012 to May 2015.

In the past, Patel was the Group Finance Manager at The Golden Door from September 2010 to February 2012, and an Accounts Supervisor at "K" Line (Australia) Pty Ltd from May 2008 to August 2010. Additionally, Patel had an Audit Internship at Ernst & Young from December 2007 to February 2008 and worked as an Assistant Accountant at WILLOW Fashion Group from October 2005 to November 2007.

Patel's earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Lead Operations Specialist at J.P. Morgan from August 2002 to August 2005, demonstrating their extensive background and expertise in various finance-related roles.

Vahistad Patel has a strong educational background in accounting and finance. They obtained a "Certified Practising Accountant" degree from the CPA Australia Program from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Accounting degree at Macquarie University from 2005 to 2008. They also hold a Master of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Mumbai from 2002 to 2004, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from the same university from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, Vahistad Patel has obtained the CPA certification from the Certified Practising Accountant Australia institution.
