Ashley Insong

Ashley Insong is an accomplished educator and writer with extensive experience in diverse fields. Currently serving as a 6th Grade ELA Teacher at Austin Achieve Public Schools, Ashley develops culturally responsive content that enhances literacy and critical thinking for a predominantly Hispanic student population. In addition, Ashley is a contributing writer for both Hawaii Home + Remodeling Magazine and Character Media, crafting engaging stories that highlight unique homes, design trends, and promote Asian American representation in media. Previous roles include teaching English as a Second Language with Teach For America, processing PPP loans at American Savings Bank, and creating content for various media outlets. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on Creative Writing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, as well as two associate degrees from Leeward Community College in Elementary Education and Liberal Arts.
